  1. Welcome Greg! Nice collection of gear you have there! If you are going to keep I suggest refurbing it to make it last another 20-30 years and sound great! There are good techs to help if you need it.

  6. That is what I have been doing with my network. Upgraded wireless APs, to gaming routers for better coverage, put all my wireless on one LAN segment. Making sure my IOT stuff is all on a different LAN segment. And I will finish with getting the wife off of our LAN and on to a VLAN to separate and secure her from our LAN. I don’t want her work (and the inexperienced IT people working there) to even know what we have here. I don’t trust them. As soon as they paint the office, that separation will begin.

  8. That is a neat idea @Butcher! I just picked up an AirPort Express/ Extreme (one of those) locally for $15.00. Didn’t need it just bought it because of price. I didn’t think about doing what you do but now I have a new idea.......grin

You will enjoy your gear when it gets back home. It will sound great and last for many years. We have several good techs here that do great work. I heard Carver in the 80’s, couldn’t afford it then so I started late in life. There is plenty of knowledgeable people here to help get that receiver working like new. BillD the C-1 and refurbish the M1.5t and I think you will be impressed with the sound quality. We have the service manuals if you want to do it yourself or great techs here that can do it for you.
